A white powder, floury or sandy, with the characters of excellent flowability and dispersion, low content of impurities such as iron. Readily soluble in alkaline and acidic solutions. Easily decomposed into alumina by being dehydrated in the course of heating.
Used as a major material for the manufacture of high-grade glass, enhancing its optical property, decreasing the expansion rate, and reinforcing its ablity forthermal shock-rasistant and chemical corrosive-resistant. It also can be used as raw material for artificial onyx filler and high-grade aluminum sulphate.
